Healthy Skin Matters
I think more and more we are beginning to see our skin for what it truly is; the body’s largest organ; and also realising that keeping it healthy is so important. Our skin should be nourished and exercised to keep it healthy, just as we do our body.
When my life was at its most stressful I began to suffer from severe rosacea. I’d never had bad skin in my life and so was absolutely mortified. It made me realise how debilitating a serious skin condition can be and was the reason why Face Matters was created. Skin problems can destroy confidence and impact on so many areas from careers and education to relationships and social life.
With over 30 years in the beauty industry as a facialist as well as a brand owner, my advice is to keep it simple.
Quality but simple.
Don’t over complicate your routine.
Don’t overload the skin.
Do a little bit of research before buying in to the latest “must have” beauty trend and if you aren’t quite sure then ask a professional for advice. Mistakes can be costly, especially at the moment.
Thorough cleansing. Good nourishment. SPF. An appropriate acid. These are my absolute go tos. You definitely don’t need a 10 step skincare routine. Oh and of course don’t forget to Gua Sha!!
